# Trade Post for traders

> Your workspace inside a trading subreddit.

**Your trade count comes with you.** Where your subreddit has Trade Post write
flair, it reads the number already there and adds to it, leaving emoji, tier
words and region tags alone. Where the subreddit runs its own confirmation bot,
that keeps working. Either way there is no batch job, nothing to import, and
nothing to start over.

Your listings stay real Reddit posts and your offers stay real Reddit comments,
made under your own account. There is no account to create and nothing to
install. Open the pinned Trade Post post in your subreddit to get in.

What changes is the work around them. Confirming a trade replaces the "+1
confirmed trade" comment convention. Marking an item traded updates every live
post advertising it at once. Your subreddit's title rules are checked in the
composer, so a listing that breaks them is caught before you post rather than
after a moderator removes it.

## Where things live

One thing is in the header rather than the tab bar.

Offers and Trades each split into **Open** and **Resolved**, and Inventory into
**Active** and **Traded**. Both open on the live half.

If you moderate the subreddit there is a shield icon too. That is a different
job, and it has [its own documentation](/moderators).

## Notifications

**There are none.** The hub badges its tabs and updates while it is open, and the
replies the app posts land in your Reddit inbox like any other comment. Nothing
else reaches you.

## What the app does not do

No payments, no escrow, no linking out to pay. No dispute arbitration; both of
you confirm what happened and the app keeps the record. Your inventory is not
public and your trade history is not on display: other traders see only the items
you have on a live listing post.

Nor does it moderate anything. What it adds is a **Report** button, so a listing
or an offer can go to your subreddit's moderators without leaving the app. See
